Diversity Call: Popcorn Review! Winter 2019 Issue

One of the things we try to promote here at Blake’s Dungeon is inclusion — that means everyone! Racial diversity, LGBTQIA+ representation, female empowerment, and anything else we find hasn’t been given the voice they need. As such, when we do our Popcorn Review articles, we are endeavoring to have our reviews written by a diverse cast of people who can best express how well (or not so well) their demographic is represented in the media you’re planning to see. As such, here are some films that came out this year that we haven’t reviewed yet, organized by special interest so that you can easily find something that needs some attention from your unique perspective.

If you see a film that’s on our list and you’d like to send us review, DO IT! Make sure your review is 3-5 pages long, including a full name and e-mail us at BlakesDungeon@gmail.com — use “Popcorn Review: [Insert Title Here]” as your Subject Line, and we’ll know what you’re about! Don’t worry if your grammar isn’t the best — we have editors to make sure every typo is caught and that your thoughts are clear, and we do our best to polish it without changing your intent. If your article makes it into the next issue, we’ll send you one of our Blake’s Dungeon logo t-shirts and a physical copy of the issue you’re published in!

And don’t forget! We’re running a Movie Club on our Facebook page┬áif you’re in the Burbank/LA area and want to come see the latest films with us!

See you at the movies!
